Rebecca is a doctoral student at the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology and her PhD research
focuses on utilizing an historical database of nest record cards collected between 1910-1999 to
investigate how climate change has affected the annual cycles of birds in southern Africa.
In her talk tonight she will look at how historical breeding data collected by citizen scientists in the
Cape Peninsula, plus modern data from tracked Crowned Eagles, have contributed to our
understanding of breeding ecology.
