Meet at 08h00. These regular monthly outings are for all Rondevlei enthusiasts and beginners are especially welcome. Duration 2 1⁄2 hours, but you can stay as long as you like. Bring a warm anorak even if it is a hot day as it can get cold in the hides. Entrance is free. Entrance is free, but remember to bring your ID, driver’s licence, or passport in order to obtain an entry permit at the gate.

  Meet at 08h30. Meet in the parking area at the first building before the start of the pans. We will concentrate on the many water birds, especially the waders. The outing will last about 3 hours. The Cape Bird Club members have been helping the City of Cape Town by clearing invasive alien vegetation since 1974, when Alan Morris started this activity in the Wildwood Bird Sanctuary, now the Zandvlei Nature Reserve. Come and help our core group, clear seedlings, saplings and cut down trees too. Small school groups or individuals who need to do their social responsibility projects are welcome too.
