Hacking Team at Zandvlei Nature Reserve – December 2008.

This is a working relationship with the City of Cape Town and the Zandvlei Trust.

On a hot day with slight SW wind blowing to try and cool us, we cut down some senescent blombos in Grysbok Park, which had been a problem with people sheltering behind them as a screen. We removed 2 van loads of vagrants belongings to the landfill site as well. A number of bushes are being used as a venue for prostitution.

Desmond and Sakkie (small one with out shoes on the hot sand) Sandle from Capricorn (Vrygrond) were paid by the Nature Care Fund, to help clear the vegetation, to make it safer for all to use this section of local indigenous vegetation.
We cleared a number of the senescent blombos. Bowen found the four striped mouse pups while clearing a bush. They were released under another suitable bush.

Thank you very much to everyone who has helped this year.
