We believe awards are a way of showing our appreciation for work done within the conservation sector. We hope that working towards the winning of these awards is a motivator and in such provides incentive for more and greater conservation efforts to be made by all.
The Frank Wygold Conservation Award is an award offered by the Cape Bird Club – Conservation Committee in honour of Frank Wygold and the legacy of the work he did for the Cape Bird Club and all facets of natural conservation in the Greater Cape Town area and up the West Coast. He was based at his West Coast Field Studies Centre in the grounds of the Brooklyn Chest Hospital.
This is an annual award offered to students who have excelled in their practical year of their Conservation Diploma.
