On 16 April 2009 Frank attended the Mayor’s Medal for Community Affairs ceremony, which was reintroduced as a civic function, to thank civil society’s important individuals contribution towards the running of the City of Cape Town.
Frank received a Mayor’s Medal for Community Affairs from Mayor Helen Zille.
There were 10 other recipients for the category of Community Affairs.
