Urban Wildlife – 28 April 2018.

I was on my way to Silvermine to do my ‘post fire’ bird walk on 28 April 2018, and I decided to drive along Soetvlei Ave, Tokai to look for owls/interesting raptors.
There were about 6 Pied Crows mobbing something in a tree (and 10 hadedas shouting in the tree next door) so I thought I’d found my raptor. But even better, it was a Caracal.

Got to Silvermine a bit later than I planned which probably didn’t make much difference as it was cold up there and birds were scarce.

There is always something interesting out there!
