Outing – Succulent Workshop.
04 August 2022 – with Alison James.
On Thursday, 4th August 2022, Alison James facilitated a most interesting, informative and reassuringly “informal” workshop at her home on the slopes of the Simon’sberg. The topic pursued was about the specialised relationship between succulent plants and birds and the miracle of pollination which ensues, an integral link in the chain of life. We were given sheets of notes, there were plant specimens from her garden on the table and also various books from her library to peruse.

From the first step upwards into her enchanting garden, one was transported into another realm! Innovative, creative, whimsical and carefully maintained, Alison’s water-wise paradise imparts her passion for flora and provides five star cafe facilities for avian visitors.
Shared insights, knowledge and anecdotes ensured a delightful morning for the ten participants, rounded off with a garden ramble and welcome coffee treat.
THANK YOU ALISON!
