This is a voluntary working relationship with the City of Cape Town and the Cape Bird Club since 1983.
The Cape Bird Club has worked with the staff of the FBNR and also with Friends of Zeekoevlei & Rondevlei to put up signage at both Rondevlei and Strandfontein about the status of the FBNR as a RAMSAR site. There are also now 2 maps of the pans at Strandfontein, one at the entrance and one near the Julie te Groen Centre.
The signs were designed by Mel Tripp and made by Subzero.
