This is a working relationship with the City of Cape Town and the Zandvlei Trust.
We were back at Grysbok Park this month, as there were a number of seedlings and large shrubs which needed taking care of. We had the help of David Knight and his sons Andrew, Michael and Daniel Le Jeune. Andrew is doing community service towards a Scout badge. They are with the Bergvliet Scout troop.
Bert, Susan and Barry cut Manatoka shrubs down and pulled out any invasives they found.
It was gratifying to see how well the Park has flourished since we last worked here. There are comparatively few invasives, in this follow up clearing, compared to what we removed originally. The indigenous plants are thriving. This spring will have a spectacular show of flowers in Grysbok Park.
The Chasmanthe are starting to flower and give a good contrast colour to the area.
