If you are new to birding, I shall put you into a group which will help you learn quickly and easily. There is always something new to be seen or heard. Meet at: 08h00. Altydgedacht Wine Estate, Tygerberg Valley Road. Leader: Kevin Drummond-Hay. We will walk mostly on roadways, with a short detour on a path to reach the D’Aria Dam. Directions: Travelling on the N1 from Cape Town, take exit 20 to Jip de Jager Drive (M16). Continue approximately 5.3 km on Jip de Jager, turn left onto Tygerberg Valley Road, and then left onto Altydgedacht Wine Estate.

Duration 2 1⁄2 hours, but you can stay as long as you like. Bring a warm anorak even if it is a hot day as it can get cold in the hides. Entrance is free.
