Hacking Team at Zandvlei Nature Reserve – March 2010.

This is a working relationship with the City of Cape Town and the Zandvlei Trust.

It was cool with with the prevailing south east breeze and high cloud cover.
We were speculating what the maintenance of the large block of flats going up at Sunrise Circle (in the center of the photo below) would be like, with the very corrosive salt laden wind off the sea. Another verdict – residents would be cleaning their windows permanently.

Bert and Chris cut down a number of small Port Jackson trees. Sue was suffering with blisters on both feet and still managed to come and hack. Una filled 5 large bags of litter.

A large area of saplings and small trees was cleared today.

This young Parrot beaked Tortoise came walking up the hill towards us.
