The Cape Bird Club

Zandvlei Nature Reserve – 16 December 2004.

On a hot and sunny morning, a good turnout of 44 members and friends met at Zandvlei, for the "annual breakfast outing", lead by Bruce Mackenzie.

Some members who were involved at Zandvlei Nature Reserve from its begining in 1974 were also present. They remarked how the reserve has changed. It was originally called Wildwood Bird Sanctuary and now has the proposed name change of The Greater Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve.

Tea or breakfast time afterwards.

It was a little late, for the best bird viewing (mid summer now with an early sun rise), I am sure those who came saw some of the birds they hoped to see and enjoyed the outing.
I do not know all the names of the participants, so have not named any. You will know who you and your friends are.
