The farm house and some of the rooms We have a charming Karoo farmhouse on the Bloutoring Road halfway between Touws River and Montagu. We let it to small groups from time to time and it is ideal for birders. The farm is adjacent to the Anysberg Nature Reserve and one can arrange to drive through. Entrance gate way to the farm Scenery and vegetation type of the area Facilities : It has been renovated and is fully furnished. There are 4 bedrooms, 1 with an en suite bathroom. One other bathroom to serve the rest. 4 extra beds in the loft. Large dining room (table for 12) and open plan kitchen. Large lounge. 2 fireplaces. Verandah. Braai facilities. Self-catering foodwise, and serviced for cleaning etc. Sleeps 10 easily - 12 at a squeeze. The farm house from the Touws River. The kitchen with the wood burning stove. View of the lounge Fully equipped kitchen : gas, microwave, fridges, deep freeze, dish washing machine etc. Rates : R250 per first person per night and R100 per person for the rest. Separate facility : There is also a separate small cottage at R200 per night (sleeps 2).

are available on the farm. The Riverine Rabbit has been seen in the area. We are part of the Verkeerdevlei Irrigation system - the Verkeerdevlei dam lies below the Matroosberg close to Aquila Private Game Reserve. How to get there:
