Silvermine Nature Reserve – 4th May 2008

The picture shows the Juniors smiling in the rain!

After days of sunshine, the weather changed to wintery and wet for our outing to Silvermine.
We are very grateful to Peter Steyn for leading the group and for adding interest with anecdotal information and tips on birding that one would not find in a field guide. We had a good turnout and I much appreciate the way everyone showed enthusiasm for the walk in spite of the rain.

Our sighting list was: Malachite Sunbird, Orange-breasted Sunbird, Sugarbird, Karoo Prinia , Cape Siskin, Cape Spurfowl.
