Wild Birds and the Law

This booklet was compiled by Jo Hobbs as an attempt to provide an answer to those who felt that "something should be done about it" but werent sure of the legal position. The initial print run of 1000 copies in July 1983 was exhausted within a month. After publicity in several local newspapers there was a demand for a further 1000 copies from the public in August. An Afrikaans translation of 1200 copies was distributed in February 1985. A further run of 500 English copies was done in May 1985. The costs were covered by the CBC Concervation Fund and the Christopher Norgarb Memorial Fund.
