The Cape Bird Club Events 2005
4th October 2005, 18h00 The Seventh Continent by Don Pinnock. This was a special fund raiser for the Conservation Fund, held at the SA Museum in Queen Victoria Street, Cape Town. 23 – 25 September Swellendam, Week End Camp at the Bontebok National Park and Marloth Nature Reserve. 20 July 2005 – Get together at the Avontuur Restaurant. About 35 members attended this function at the Waterfront, Cape Town. The Chairman, Vernon Head thanked all, on behalf of the Committee, for the work they do, which makes the club function. Also, all were encouraged to look for ways to stimulate more interest in running the affairs of the club.
2 – 8 May 2005 BirdLife South Africa launches National Bird Week BirdLife South Africa launches the BirdLife South Africa National Bird Week on 2 May 2005 as the first ever national bird awareness and conservation initiative in South Africa that will focus on birds, their habitats and conservation needs.
