CBC – Book Survey.

The History of The Cape Bird Club – WOULD YOU BUY THIS BOOK?

Background information

The Diamond Anniversary sub committee, before winding up its responsibilities for 2008, made a proposal to produce a book documenting the 60 Years History of The Cape Bird Club.
The idea is;

• a “coffee-table” type publication, 
• hard cover, 
• full colour +/- A4 size with slip-case.

The book would include the history up to 1998 that was produced as a Jubilee supplement to Promerops commemorating the 50th Anniversary.
The objective is to gather more “unknown or unpublished” information, stories, anecdotes, photos etc on people, personalities and events that have moulded and built “the biggest bird club in Africa” and bring it up to date with the latest 10 years and set this down, in print… “for the record and posterity” in a beautiful book.

This of course would take considerable effort and cost. The projected selling price to members is R250 / R300.

Before proceeding, we’d like to get members feedback on whether you would, or would not buy this book?

Remember NO is as important as YES for us to get a balanced answer to proceed. Any comments you might have would also be welcome.
