2 photographs of an unidentified duck (possibly a hybrid mallard) are submitted for the record. The individual was with a group of other mallard hybrids and white domestic ducks in the south western corner against the new fence of the canoe club pond, next to the slipway. 35
The main body of the vlei was full due to the mouth being open for the spring high tide. The start time is not ideal for summer time. The weather was bright and sunny with a SE wind increasing by mid morning. Greg Morgan paddled the southern Marina canals south of the Park Island bridge. 36
